List of countries of European Continent.

Many people are confusing for European Union, European Countries which are not a part of EU and European Economic area ( EEA) countries in European Continent.

List of European Union (EU) Countries ?

European countries started to cooperate economically  to each other in 19th century i.e. from 1951 when only states such as Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Germany, The Netherlands and Italy participated.

The European Union was founded on November 1, 1993 in Maastricht, Netherlands. In 1993 it was not big as it is today by years goes, Progressively more countries are decided to join in the European Unions (EU) and the last Country decided to join was Croatia in 2013. As on date 27 countries are included  in the European unions are as below.

European countries which are not part of  European Union?

Presently  23 countries located in the continent of Europe, are not part of the European Union.

However, five of them are in the process of integrating the EU legislation into national law

while two others are potential countries, which have yet not fulfilled all the requirements for EU membership.

What are the European Economic area (EEA) Countries and purpose of EEA

The purpose and agreement of European Economic area ( EEA) provide its member states with Free movement of persons, Goods and services capital within the European single market including the freedom to choose residence in any country within this area.

Below are the The European Economic area ( EEA) countries :

EEA Contains : 27 European union (EU) countries + 3 counties i.e. (Iceland, Liechtenstein , Norway)
