SOP for Area Recovery Test
I. Purpose & Scope:
- The Purpose of this SOP is to lay down the procedure for Area Recovery Test
- This procedure is applicable to all Engineering Department for Area Recovery Test
II. Responsibilities:
• All Engineering personnel’s shall be responsible to follow and implement this SOP.
III : Introduction and Procedural Part :
Procedure :
- Setup the particle counter where the recovery time has to be determined.
- Adjust the single sample volume, number of cycles and delay time of the counter should be adjusted to not more than 10 second.
- Particle size used in this test should be same as that used for the determination of cleanliness class.
- Measure the particle counts at that room location, where the maximum count is observed during the air borne particle count study.
- Switch off the AHU and generate the particles at the air inlet to the room to establish the existing both 0.5 µ and 5 µ particles concentration level approximately 10 times the target cleanliness level.
- Switch on the AHU and measure and record the particle count each minute, until the cleanliness level in the room is restored to the original condition recorded and record the recovery.
