This Document describes (Standard Operating procedure) SOP for cleaning of Utensils.
SOP for cleaning of Utensils.
I. Purpose & Scope:
- The purpose of this SOP for cleaning of Utensils
- This Standard operating procedure shall be applicable for cleaning of Utensils.
II. Responsibilities:
• All warehouse personnel shall be responsible to follow and implement this SOP.
III : Introduction and Procedural Part:
Instructions :
- All the cleaned and dried SS utensils and equipment should be stored at designated place in clean new polybags and affix the ‘cleaned label’ on polybag.
- In case the cleaned utensil is not used within seven days, re-clean the utensils & dry before use.
Cleaning of Utensils :
- Collect all the scoops and other equipments used for dispensing in a S.S container which is labeled as ‘ To be cleaned ‘
- Transfer the S.S. containers to the wash area.
- Clean the utensil with sufficient quantity ( approx. 2 to 5 lts. ) of potable water.
- Scrub the utensils with scrubber wetted with 0.1% Teepol solution.
- Wash the utensils with portable water and finally rinse with sufficient quantity of purified water.
- Wipe the all scoops with lint free dry cloth .
- Dry the utensils such as scoop, spatula in drying oven at 500C about one hour.
- Dried utensils shall be kept in clean new polybag and affix the cleaned label.
Cleaning of Barrel Pump :
- Take the used Barrel Pump and wrap with stretch film. Affix the To be cleaned label on it and transfer to the washing area.
- Make 0.1% teepol solution in 20 ltrs. of potable water in a bucket.
- Put the barrel pump in the bucket and circulate it for 10 minutes.
- After that take 10 ltr. of potable water in another bucket and put the barrel pump in it and circulate it for another 10 minutes.
- Then clean the barrel pump from inside and outside also with potable water.
- Ensure that it is free from oil and previous material.
- Wipe the barrel pump with lint free dry cloth and air dry for overnight. Dry barrel pump should be wrap with stretch film and affix “Cleaned” label on it.
- Cleaned Utensils / Tools shall be recorded in Format.
IV: Frequency :
After every use.
