SOP for Handling and storage of extra material return memo.

I. Purpose & Scope:

• The purpose of this SOP for Handling and storage of extra material return memo.
• This Standard operating procedure shall be applicable for Handling and storage of extra material return memo.

II. Responsibilities:

• All warehouse personnel shall be responsible to follow and implement this SOP.

III : Introduction and Procedural Part:

PROCEDURE:

PACKING MATERIALS

• Excess non-overprinted packaging materials shall be returned to stores from packing departments.
• Production officer shall inform IPQA for verification of balance quantity of non-overprinted packaging materials after completion of packing of each batch .
• Store Officer shall verify the returned packaging material in respect of quantity, quality and A.R. number with material return note with respective details on the returned material label as per Annexure-I duly signed with date of production, QA.
• After checking the material return note, stores officer shall sign the same and forward duplicate copy of material return note to packing department by retaining original copy with him for stores record. Then he shall take necessary entry into stock register.
• Returned material to be kept along with the parent A.R. No. if the parent A.R.No is not available in the stock than keep the return material on separate pallet/rack in the designated area and update the location chart as per Annexure-II.
• Update in the respective stock register. Always issue EMRM material first to consume the stock.
