SOP for Operation and cleaning of cooling chamber
I. Purpose & Scope:
- The purpose of this Sop for Operation and cleaning of cooling chamber.
- This Standard operating procedure shall be applicable for operation and cleaning of cooling chamber.
II. Responsibilities:
• All warehouse personnel shall be responsible to follow and implement this SOP.
III : Introduction and Procedural Part:
Procedure for operation and cleaning of cooling chamber :
Operational Procedure:
- Ensure before starting the operation that the Cooling chamber is visually cleaned.
- Switch of electric supply during cleaning and after use.
- Insert plug pin in plug socket.
- Switch ON the main electric supply.
- Permanently set the temperature is between 2 °C to 8 º C of sub-zero controller for cooling Chamber.
Temperature Record :
- Store person shell check the temperature two times in a shift (Beginning & end of shift) from the displayed window of cooling chamber and record accordingly in the current version of format.
Cleaning Procedure :
- Clean the inside and outside of cooling chamber by using dry lint free cloth every day in the morning and record the details in the current version of format
Loading and un-loading of material in the chamber :
- Store personnel take key from the store in-charge & unlock the door
- Open the door of Cooling Chamber, locate the place (as required) to load / unload the material and close the door. Make sure the door is properly closed, otherwise the temperature will leak and accuracy would not maintain.
- Chamber must be lock after loading and un-loading of material and return the key to the store in-charge.
Shutdown of Cooling Chamber :
- In case of chamber is to be shutdown, switch off the main switch of the cooling chamber. If observed any abnormality inform to engineering department.
Calibration :
- Calibration performs once in a year by external agency and maintain the record accordingly
Temperature Mapping :
- Temperature mapping of the cooling chamber shall be done once in year by the external party.
