I. Purpose & Scope:

• The Purpose of this SOP is to lay down the procedure for Sop for Sanitization of softener.
• This procedure is applicable Engineering Department personnel for Sop for Sanitization of softener.

II. Responsibilities:

• All Engineering personnel shall be responsible to follow and implement this SOP.

III. Introduction and Procedural Part:

Procedure:

• Add 3 liters of Mincare solution in the brine tank. Add 300 liters. Of filter water in the brine tank to prepare 1 % soln. (use 1% test strip to check the concentration of soln.
• Start the pump & put the softener in regeneration mode.
• Maintain the flow rate at the inlet pressure quartz Filter between 2.5 to 3 m3/hr. (adjust to achieve the flow rate).
• Adjust the brine injection valve so as to suck the 300 ltrs. of Mincare soln. within 20 to 30 mins.
• After the complete solution is sucked, stop the raw water pump.
• Soaking time will be 1 hr ( 60 mins)
• After 1 hr. of socking start the pump keep the softener in rinse mode.
• Start flushing when it is completed, shut of the pump.
• Sanitization of the softener is completed.
• All data shall be recorded in Annexure I
