 Standard test procedure for Leaflet

1.Description:

Following visual checking to be carried out:

Procedure: Examine the pack insert in day light for appearance No letters from Text matter should either erased or become fade. Ensure that insert are properly bind in bundle or beat with paper wrapper. Printed insert of maplitho paper or printing paper and free from dust and foreign particles. Insert should properly pack in a bundle with paper wrapper and finally should be packed in corrugated box. Note down the results in test data sheet

2. Length: (Test to be performed on one samples)

Instrument: Scale

Procedure: Measure the Length in mm and Measure crease to crease by measuring tape or scale. Note down the results in test data sheet of Standard test procedure for Leaflet

3.Width : (Test to be performed on one samples)

Instrument: Scale

Procedure: Measure the Width in mm and Measure crease to crease by measuring tape or scale. Note down the results in test data sheet.

4.Text matter: (Test to be performed on maximum five samples)

Procedure:Should be as per approved artwork or approved specimen.

5.Colour scheme: (Test to be performed on maximum five samples)

Procedure:Single colour (preferably Black)

6.Grammage: (Test to be performed on maximum five samples)

Instrument:Scale

Procedure:Cut the 10 x 10 cms piece of insert by using scale and cutterWeigh the piece on analytical balance, note down the weight in test data sheet

Calculate the grammage of insert as per formula given below

7. Paper quality: (Test to be performed on maximum five samples)

Procedure: Maplitho paper or printing paper.

8. Printing quality: (Test to be performed on maximum five samples)

Procedure: Text matter should be clear and legible.

9. Cutting: (Test to be performed on maximum five samples)

Procedure: Check visually that the insert are cut properly.

10. Ink smearing: (Test to be performed on maximum five samples)

Procedure: There should not be smearing or removal of ink when rubbed with moisten cotton. Note down the results in test data sheet

11.Number of Folds and final folding size: (Test to be performed on maximum five samples)

Instrument:Scale

Procedure: Visually check the number of folds and final folding size check by scale, as per approved specimen.
