For Reducing the weight : If your initial tamping position is 10.00 mm and fill weight is achieving 200 mg, If need to increase weight by 50 mg  i.e. fill weight of 250 mg. then you have to reduce the reading from 10 mm to 7/8 mm i.e. powder will compress  more results to allow more new powder in disc hole and ultimately weight will be increase proportionally.

For Increasing  the weight : If your initial tamping position is 10.00 mm and fill weight is achieving 200 mg, If need to decrease weight by 50 mg  i.e. fill weight of 150 mg. then you have to increase the reading from 10 mm to 12/13 mm i.e. Position of tamping pin will come up and it will avoid to fill the more powder so ultimately fill weight will be reduced proportionally

In short if you want to increase the fill weight need to give more tamping/pressure and if you want to reduce the fill weight then Tamping/pressure should be released.
